Father, son and daughter, Joe, Joel and Katie Kowalski know the land and the river better than anyone. Joe pioneered whitewater rafting more than 4 decades and knows every inch from McCoy Chute downstream to Wilderness Tours and beyond. His children Joel and Katie know it even better. Kayaking from the age of 12 and being a National Kayak Teams member since 2004, Joel and Katie’s passion is paddling the Ottawa River. While they have favourites on every continent, they paddle the Ottawa almost every day when not traveling. While most know the river with lush summer greenery or spectacular fall colours, Joel and Katie know it every season. Of course, growing up just a few paddle strokes from McCoy Chute helps.
